Your First Smoothie - Strawberry Banana Simplicity

Ok, let's try this in the easiest way possible. 

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • ice cubes (maybe)

Blend until you stop. 

Why is this so simple? You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. You can use fresh or frozen bananas. You can use whole milk, skim milk, chocolate milk, almond milk, coconut water, it really doesn't matter.

If you use frozen strawberries or banana, skip the ice cubes. Otherwise, blend everything up, throw a few in and pulse it a few times to give it that icy smoothie texture. 

Have some superfoods lying around? Throw in some kale powder or protein powder. Toss in a couple handfuls of spinach. Drop in a tsp of cocoa powder or some cacao nibs. 

This is a filling, wonderful treat. It's best served icy cold and with a couple small slices of fruit dropped in so you can drink and enjoy a couple bites of fresh fruit.
