OK, so the name of this smoothie takes longer to type than a smoothie generally takes to make. I get it. But ... there's a reason!
This week's focus is "hidden ingredients." This smoothie has so much goodness in it that I don't really even know where to start. For under 500 calories you get: 32g of protein, 70% of your RDA of calcium, 31% of your Vitamin C and all the goodness of avocado, kale, goji berries and chia seeds ... in a chocolate smoothie.
The chia seeds leave you feeling full while the avocado provides healthy fats, fiber and potassium.
So let's talk about the taste since that matters quite a lot. This smoothie tastes like choc berry. It has both strawberries and goji berries in it and you can taste both fairly well. I could easily drink this smoothie every day.
There are a few downsides to any banana chocolate smoothie: it has a healthy amount of carbs (81g) and sugars. It also has a bit more fat than many smoothies, although avocado fats are generally considered healthy for you.
Full nutritional information is, as always, alongside this post. This isn't a 200 calorie, 0 fat, super-lean smoothie but how many chocolate treats allow you to have goji, kale, avocado and chia all at once?
Kale a very good source of vitamin B6, dietary fiber, calcium, potassium, vitamin E, vitamin B2, iron, magnesium, vitamin B1, omega-3 fatty acids phosphorus, protein, folate, and niacin.
Enjoy this chocolate-y goodness - just not too often!
